With the demise of both the Honolulu Advertiser and the Honolulu Star-Bulletin newspapers today, in favor of a new hybrid called The Honolulu Star-Advertiser, I decided to resurrect my old website, The Honolulu Reporter (thehonolulureporter.com) to create another little alternative to the new monopoly in print journalism in Honolulu. And I am renewing my acquaintance with my little-used blog, "Walter Wright's." Please come to Walter Wright's for daily or more or less observations and news of life in Hawaii, from The Old Man on the Beach.
Aloha,
Walter Wright
Aloha Old Man on the Beach:
ReplyDeleteHow happy I am to find you here.Sorry to here the "news" about the state of the news papers. If in the end these changes brings you back to "Walter Wright's" perhaps there is such a thing as a silver lining. I miss our connection, much has transpired; I have moved out to the country reconnecting with my boyhood love of the woods and night sky. I have a lovely Girl friend who lives 700 miles away in Reno NV. Death visited this past year taking my Mother and Brother in-law within three weeks of one another making me a recent member of the Reality Club. This week I was at a dinner party in Reno. A friend, Deidre, announced she was traveling to Honolulu to interview for a professorship at the University of Hawaii. and you came rushing back to me prompting this search and happy discovery. If by chance you are coming this way a visit would be grand. Warm wishes, CB.
